This is an elegant townhouse with an acre of private park in the village of Barbentane, in southern Provence. All shops, services and restaurants can be found in Barbentane, well within walking distance (500m). Avignon, with its rich history and beautiful buildings, is 6km from Barbentane at the confluence of the Durance and the Rhône. The ancient Roman city of Arles is an easy half-hour's drive, and the scenery of the Vaucluse and Mont-Ventoux region are well within reach to the east. There are public tennis courts in Barbentane, and 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses within 10km. The interior is very attractive with many original features, period furniture and paintings. The accommodation is arranged over three floors: on the ground floor, the entrance hall gives onto the study and the living and dining rooms. The kitchen has a dining table and there is a separate wc and a laundry room. The single bedroom and one double bedroom on the first floor share a bathroom with a wc; also on this floor are a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, with two more bathrooms with wcs. On a half-landing is another bathroom with a half-bath and a wc; this serves another twin bedroom on the second floor with a nice view over the village. The swimming pool is located in a garden at the back of the house, and is partly shaded by centenary trees.
