Spring has arrived in Provence! Although most of Europe still seems to be in the grasp of the second (or third?) seriously wintery spell of late, the mixed but mild weather we’ve got down in Provence means that the flowers are starting to bloom, and the beautiful landscapes are covered in green once more.
With the sun shining again, it seems like the perfect time to post a little reminder about the Avignon Motor Festival 2018 coming up next week. With our friends over at Provence Classics - Classic & Vintage Car Rental, this week we’re going to be hitting the roads in some beautiful cars to get inspired ahead of next weekend!
For anyone who hasn’t heard about the show yet, here’s a little more info:
What is the Avignon Motor Festival?
What started off as a small car show in the Avignon Exhibition Centre, the Avignon Motor Festival has grown each year, becoming a huge gathering of classic & sport owners and professionals. Here you can buy, sell, bid, or just admire some of the most beautiful cars from every era.
Whether you’re a fan of modern sports cars, classic beauties, American trucks or racing thoroughbreds, there’s something for everyone. An auction hall, food trucks, miniature collectible cars, and historic exhibitions are just a few of the different attractions on offer at the show. With an estimated 500,000 visitors over the course of the weekend, people are travelling from all over the country and beyond to head to the Avignon Motor Festival 2018.
Where is the Avignon Motor Festival 2018?
The motor festival takes place at the Avignon Parc des Expositions, the full address is:

When is the Avignon Motor Festival 2018?
The motor show starts this Friday, 23rd March 2018, and runs until Sunday 25th March 2018. The festival is open to the public each day from 9am through till 7pm, except for Sunday when the festival comes to a close at 6pm.
Cost and tickets for the Avignon Motor Festival
According to the official website, standard entry is 13€ per person per day. However special prices are available for concessions, and under 12s get free entry! There is a special parking for anyone bringing their own classic or sports car on the day, with parking for these vehicles included in the entry price. It’s not entirely clear if the standard parking is subject to a parking fee, but I can’t imagine it will be too steep if there is!
12-16 year olds pay just 10€ entry, and there is a 3 day pass available for the whole festival for the true car enthusiast for just 26€, meaning you won’t miss a single event or auction over the whole weekend!
So, whether you’re looking to try your hand at buying an auction car, struggling to find the perfect part for your car, or just want to do something different next weekend, the Avignon Motor Festival 2018 has something to offer for the whole family. With live demonstrations, mini races, live music and hundreds of stalls to explore, there’s no excuse to not check out the Avignon motor show… So see you next week!!
